Atmosphere (argon, nitrogen, air) and gaseous injection method influence on the yield of lactide, which was obtained from e lactic acid oligomer in the presence of a catalyst, were investigated. It was established that in the presence of an inert atmosphere lactide yield increases. Bubbling gas through the melt of the oligomer makes it possible to achieve even greater purity and yield of raw lactide.
