The article describes the opportunities and features of the "Foundation of Evaluation Tools" software which is designed and put into operation in Tomsk Polytechnic University. The software has the distributed client-server architecture, was implemented with modern information technologies and development tools, and provides the secure access via the Internet. An individual profile of competencies student can be determined with the software in automated mode.
