Summary:The adsorption capacity of natural and heat-treated calcium-magnesium silicates and carbonates to Fe2+ and Mn2+ cations under different experimental conditions was studied. It is shown that the removal of heavy metals from water can be intensified by using the mineral adsorbents. The use of dolomite treated in the fluidized bed at 700 - 800°C as an adsorbent was proposed.
