Résumé:Domestic and foreign research devoted to general problems of the thermal method of inspection is reviewed and results of calculations of functional relationships of temperature gradient to time, depth and opening of a defect, parameters of the source of heat, and a number of other factors are given. Methods of considering nonuniformities in the emission coefficient are generalized, the main directions in thermal inspection are given, and its advantages and disadvantages are shown.
