Resumo:Applications of active inspection are discussed for products of steel, aluminium, brass, copper, titanium, silver, high-temperature nickel alloys. They involve thickness gauging; detection of corrosion in the interior of tube walls; of poor penetration in heat-exchangers, of poor sizing in the metal-nonmetal joints; temperature analysis during welding or brazing followed by weld strength analysis; detection of fatigue and other cracks; search for clogging of inner grooves in blades.
