Summary:Methods and means of nondestructive inspection of oil pipeline cleaning units are described. The method is based on the fact that fluid flow in a pipe is accompanied by the occurrence of acoustic noise, the strength and frequency of which depends on the fluid flow rate. The change in fluid acoustic level due to the stoppage of a cleaning unit can be used as an indication of the situation in the pipeline.
