| Summary: | Iodine chloride reacts with Ag2SO4 in H2SO4 to give a new superelectrophilic reagent capable of iodinating nitrobenzene, halogenated nitrobenzenes, nitrotoluenes, and aromatic compounds with two nitro groups in the ring.
