Summary:Copolymerization of indene and dicyclopentadiene was studied in toluene solution under the action of the catalyst system Et2AlCl-TiCl4. It is established that in this case alternating copolymers formed, and the dicyclopentadiene is more active monomer in the mixture. It is concluded that the ratio of dicyclopentadiene to indene equal 0.58:0.42 corresponds to the azeotropic point in the curve of the copolymer, as well as the heat dissipation in the system extremely dependent on the content of dicyclopentadiene in the copolymer.
