This report presents a comparative analysis of finite and infinite sets, using the notions of bijection, injection and surjection. The statement regarding surjective, injective and bijective mappings of finite sets, in particular, initial segments of natural sequence are proved by mathematical induction technique. The specified scheme of the proof of the corresponding mapping on the set of natural numbers is introduced.
