In the work the high temperature synthesis of nanolamellar tungsten disulfide from tungsten nanoparticiples and elementary sulfur are discussed. The nanodispersed tungsten powder is produced by the electrical explosion of wire in argon. Results of the X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope and differential thermal analysis of nanolamellar WS2 are shown. Also the tribological properties of the obtained product are investigated.
