In the present paper the kinetics of syntheses of alkali metal tetrafluorobromates were studied. Determination of the activation energy was carried out by the indirect method based on the values of reaction half-time at different temperatures. The measurement of half-times was conducted by calorimetric method. The values of activation energies for the concerned reactions were 23.76 kJ mol-1(for RbBrF4) and 43.81 kJ mol-1(for CsBrF4). This indicates that the reaction of synthesis of RbBrF4 lies in transition region and the one for CsBrF4 lies in kinetic region.
