In this paper the description of the microwave plasma chemical device for the conversion of methane was presented. The specification of the device and its shortcomings at the transition to high power were given. The specification of the high frequency plasmatron and its advantages in comparison with the microwave device in the area of conversion of methane in production facilities were shown.
