The present article is about the influence of erosion under high-power pulsed ion beams on properties of metal surface. First of all author deals with concept of mechanism of erosion. Moreover evaporation is the main process in introduced mathematical model. Secondly author considers optimal parameters of highpower pulsed ion beams. Besides the given article is regarded the dependence of the thickness of the deposited layer on current density. Also author reviews the dependence of energy falling on an evaporated atom on the current density. Furthermore attention is paid to compassion protons and nitrogen ion beams and its initial energy.
