He is the co-founder and CEO of the software firm Palantir Technologies. Karp began his career investing in start-up companies and stocks, and established Palantir in 2003 with Peter Thiel. In 2025, ''Time'' magazine named him on the ''Time'' 100 list of the world's most influential people.
